The Carnivorous Plant FAQ v. 12

Q: About Triphyophyllum cultivation

A: Do not even think about trying to get this plant or to grow it, unless you happen to be vastly wealthy, or you work at Bonn, the Institut für Organische in Würzburg (Germany), or at the Centre National de Floristique in the Ivory Coast. These are the only places I know of where this plant has been grown.

If you are really set on trying to grow this plant, I refer you to the citations below. Bringmann et al. (1999) describes the "basic" cultivation of the plant. And once you have finished with that, refer to Bringmann et al. (2002) for information about what to do when your plant flowers.

The only other person I know who grew this plant was Joy Marburger, in the 1970s.

As if you will actually grow Triphyophyllum to flowering! Hah! Hah hah hah!
